Introduction
Since 25 May 2018 the European General Data Protection Regulation ("AVG") is in effect. The AVG brings a duty of information for companies. D.J. Hoogstraten Packaging materials B.V. recognizes the importance to the confidentiality of your personal data. In this privacy regulation we indicate how we process your data, how we protect your privacy and how we handle your personal data.
What are personal data?
Personal data are data that say something about you or that can be related to you. You can think of your name or e-mail address.
From whom do we process personal data?
We process personal data of people with whom we have, or have had, a direct or indirect relationship. These are, for example, personal details of clients, customers and suppliers.
Which data do we process?
You already share personal data with us if you contact us. Consider the following personal data: name and contact person of your company, address details, e-mail address and VAT number. Furthermore, our website keeps track of IP addresses of visitors. In principle, we do not process special personal data.
What do we do with your personal data?
We use your data for processing your order, delivering goods to you, processing your payment, sending newsletters and checking creditworthiness.
There are strict rules for sharing personal data. Of course we keep it for ourselfs as good as possible. We only share your personal data with third parties if there is a good reason or obligation. For example, we share personal data with third parties who require information from you for the delivery of your order, such as to our carrier. For direct deliveries we ask our supplier the same confidential data processing as we ourselves use.
Collected (personal) data will not be sold or made available to third parties. This is subject to special circumstances, for example if required by law.
Correctness of personal data
You are at all times entitled to request us to view your personal data and, if applicable, to correct, delete or supplement them. You can use us to ensure the correctness of the data. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and you have the right to data transfer. You also have the right to withdraw a granted permission if this was the basis for the processing of your personal data.
Storage and security of personal data
We do not process more personal data than are strictly necessary for the above purposes. In addition, your personal data will not be kept longer than necessary. We ensure appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data.
Complaints
There is supervision on how organizations process personal data. The Dutch Data Protection Authority checks whether we comply with the AVG. If you believe that Hoogstraten does not comply with the applicable privacy legislation, you have the right to file a complaint with us and with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
About this privacy statement
The regulations in the area of privacy law change regularly. Our privacy policy is never completely finished. We keep our policy up-to-date. Hoogstraten may therefore change this privacy regulation from time to time. If the changes are also of interest to you, we will notify you or make the changes known in a conspicuous way.
